About the artist
Whitney Erika Morton was born in San Diego, California, during the Reagan administration. She has lived in Arizona, Ireland, and Florida, and has traveled to four of the seven continents (four down, three to go!).
She graduated from the Ringling School of Art and Design in 2007, with a major in Illustration and a concentration in Photography and Digital Imaging. When she's not painting or taking pictures of things, she can be found hanging out with her extremely cool dog Maxfield (named after Maxfield Parrish, of course), writing, directing and acting in local theatrical productions, cooking, Wikipedia-ing, reading far more than is good for her, knitting, and attempting to teach herself Irish Gaelic. (Though not all of these at the same time, of course.)
She hopes to soon return to San Diego and set up camp there again, spending her time freelancing, marketing her two childrens' books, and growing basil in a window box.
Her favorite word (at the moment, anyway) is "briolette," and her least favorite word is "cesspool."
